We are excited to announce that Baptiste W. Hamon's latest EP, Ballade d'Alan Seeger (Chansons sur la Grande Guerre), recorded and coproduced by Midnight Special Records, is finally available for purchase on CD! A work that marries American folk and country elements with French chanson in the Hamon style, this latest EP draws its inspiration from a memoire the singer-songwriter's great grandfather left behind, telling of his time during WW1. The EP is a collaboration with several Parisian musicians and with Midnight Special Records recorded just before the 100th anniversary of the first World War, creating a timeless piece of sonic historical fiction that stitches war-ridden soldier-sorrow with grab-a-partner melodies that get you on your feet and dancing to the tune.
